Sounds as if they will be very methodic in reaching a verdict. However expert says it may bode well for prosecution but doesn’t tell us why...just that the longer the jury is out the better for a conviction.

I completely agree about George’s demeanor. I think he may have been given some Xanax or. ..

. . .Thorazine.

Unless they are looking for something specific that a juror needs to see before final vote.

I think you’re right. 5 of 6 agree, and the one holdout needs clarification. Thus they may return a decision tonight.

What you have to understand is that the liberal that you’re attempting to reason with has one primary motivation - to think of themselves as a “good person”.

Now, I’m not sure yet how to use that to make them swing around to a sensible conclusion, but you at least have something to work with.

Sounds like maybe they elected a forewoman and then decided othey’ll use the evidence list as a “master” to work through all items and ensure they’ve discussed everything. I suspect they haven’t discussed anything beyond the process they’ll use to deliberate so far.

Yes! I was on a murder...gruesome...jury. IIRC questions were to Judge Scalia directly and the only communication was between the jury and the judge with the baliff as intermediary. This was in PA 20-30 years ago.

Unfortunately even though the perp was guilty as hell some of the jurors got together after the verdict and...partied. The party made the news and there was a mistrial.

He was finally convicted of several murders but was spared because of his mental state.

If George Zimmerman loses 100 lbs, no one will recognize him. Still, he might want to move to Idaho. And he will need to carry a gun with him for the rest of his life.

nobody knows for sure how long it will take

Pure speculation, and offered just for thought purposes only.

Minimally I would think each person would take 40 min to 1 hour to
express their opinions unless it’s a slam dunk either direction

Give the up to 1 hour that’s 6 and i don’t think we will see them stay
later than 11 pm tonight.

Even then they may just decide ok, we have a verdict, let’s sleep on it
and finalize this in the AM.

I can’t imagine why the jury is even taking this long to decide that George is innocent. The entire case by the state is a sham. How they can’t see it dumbfounds me.

In all seriousness, they may just want to prove “due diligence” before they came to a decision.

Because the jury KNOWS this trial is so ‘high profile’, they must take enough time to consider ALL of the details of the case. I bet they can hear the “Justice for Trayvon” chanting from the jail across the street, and the protestors outside. They need to deliberate long enough to ensure themselves and others that they are taking this VERY seriously. This request/question of theirs just verified that they are. Good sign, IMO.

Sounds like a very plausible surmise.

If I was a jury, I’d wait until Sunday when no one is paying attention. It’ll also give the cops a chance to lock things down by Monday.

with the pressure on this jury, I don’t think they’ll want to make it too fast.

Also a reeeeally long time could also mean hung jury.
