So God sends his son as salvation for all mankind.. and the Jews say “No Thanks”.
And they’re the chosen ones, better than everyone else?
Sorry, can’t see it.
God made the Jews His chosen people. But He knew that they would reject His son, so instead He sent the gospel (good news) out to the gentiles.
So... Blog-pimps and Jews.... basically the same thing for you, HG?
/sarc (kinda)
Matthew 15:27
Also, St. Paul in Romans.
Yeah. Like that makes all kinds of sense.
Please line out the logic path used to arrive at this conclusion.
Have ever read the bible? If you have you would realize that God made the choice for His own reasons. Whatever heartburn you have about it, you can take it up with Him.
Did Spain send its Jews to concentration camps?
So if it’s between He and I, why are you butting in?
You misunderstand what “chosen” means. They were chooses to bring Jesus to this sorry world. You know, the King of the Jews. They were choosen to be the canaries in the coal mine of this world. They were also choosen for horrific suffering, just like Christ.
Being choosen is not a claim to superiority. It is a claim to a special burden and special responsibilities.
/I discuss this with my Jewish friends regularly. BTW they’re practicing Jews, and they make me look like a flaming lib. IOW on our side.
” They are Chosen and Christians are not.
Is that about it? Christians are substandard for accepting Jesus?”
Assuming you are not just stirring the Controversy Pot for fun, the fact is that G*d chose the Jews to be an example of the Law. Such achievements as the Jews have accomplished are due to following those laws. By the way, they can be used by anyone, with equal success.
One need not be a Jew to follow the Laws of G*d. What was good enough for Moses, and was followed by Jesus, simply works.
Islam is antithetical to, and irreconcilable with Jewish Law and the American Founding Documents because its premises are often more of the unholy than the Holy.
As a matter of fact, belief in G*d is not necessary to successfully live by the Jewish Law. One of America’s great gifts to Man was our placing as our first obligation the manner and free choice of how we relate to our Creator. Note the Founders used “Creator” deliberately.
In America, sectarian squabbles were present but never allowed power, as the sovereign citizen had that matter of belief to himself alone.
I’ll ell you the real reason Jewish children are better learners, as a group. When a Jewish child comes home, his parents (note “parentS is plural) do not ask ‘What did you learn?”. They ask “What questions did you ask?”
The assumption is the child was prepared and was able to discuss the lesson.
Worked for thousands of years, too.
Jesuits and the Penguins at the local schools didn’t do too shabby a job, either. All knew how to educate. It took Mann and Dewey to ruin American schools.
Sectarian issues are not important - purging the schools of collectivism is, IMHO.
YMMV.
Because its my thread. I just try to point out where you are wrong.
Yeah. Like that makes all kinds of sense.

We take it on faith.
Isaiah 55:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Thanks for this posting.
And it is still misrepresented. It is from the online Spanish magazine Gentiuno in 2004, World Net Daily in 2005, and seems adapted from James C. Bennett’s “Why do they hate us?” The writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez apparently does not exist:

Great post. I agree with the whole thing.
