if like most juries it is in a room that is directly by the jury box. There is ALWAYS people coming and going during deliberations in the main courtroom.

when the door opens people hear. You also have pool mics and cameras that can overhear when the door opens.

Wasn't the last time there was so much tension and so many jangled nerves on this forum when it was nip and tuck all night long on the Gore vote...and the media called it for Gore and then un-called it later....and many of us fell into bed in the wee hours and didn't know till we woke up that Bush had won????
Was that night or is this verdict-watch the most nerve-wracking...what's YOUR opinion?
Leni

It wasn't just only one night - it was two weeks worth of tense waiting!. FR threads were extensive with new ones every day or even several times a day as they got hundreds of comments. And remember the continuous instructions to posters on the old FR - Remember to lose your HTML TAGS!!!

Somewhere along the way, I heard the shell casing ejected to the right of the scene, supporting the assertion that GZ was on his back, on the ground.

I'm surprised that wasn't pounded home when the prosecution proffered that GZ was on top pounding his face into TZ

I hear that he responds with a personal thank you note for each contribution.

He's a great guy...I only hope and pray that he is acquitted.

Phil Keating of FOX is completey full of it. Says the jury clearly are going to convict Zimmerman of manslaughter. No knowledge cold ever lead to this conclusion. The bottom line is that we hope the jury are doing their jobs correctly which means they reviewed murder2, now they’re reviewing manslaughter, then they will review self defense. Then they will issue a verdict.

Capitalization is important as well:
“Your friend told me he saw you helping your uncle jack off a horse.”
vs
“Your friend told me he saw you helping your uncle Jack off a horse.”

I would hope a deputy would have more integrity than that. Are they having a working lunch? If they are not, they’re not supposed to talk about the trial, right?

Shadow of a doubt is the wrong standard.

It doesn’t really matter who was yelling for help. If GZ feared great bodily harm or for his life he was justified in shooting. There is no requirement of calling for help before exercising his right to self defense.

According to Jeantel TM had made it to his apartment and then went back to confront GZ.

I agree it was unfortunate for both of them. Obviously TM because he’s dead and GZ because his life is utterly ruined no matter the verdict.

He seems very polite too. Offering his hand out to shake hands. When he came out the last time West hardly paid attention to him until George kept his hand out long enough!
