Sounds like more fun than I’m having, hubby just noticed red streaks coming from his replaced knee up towards his groin and his knee is HOT, amazingly he called the nurse and she is coming out first thing in the morning. OY!
Not sure I’d wait til morning on that one. You might want to go to the ED tonight....

Get to your hospital ER tonight. Infections like that can be really complicated should they go on.
I bit a cuticle and it got infected. I waited too long and lost the top of my finger, three operations, and a week in the hospital.
Don’t wait. Show your hubby this post. And tell him I am typing with the stub of my finger.

Please do not wait until morning to have it evaluated by a medical professional - I implore you to seek emergency help now. My thoughts and prayers accompany you and your husband.
Red streaks leaving the area of a wound and especially with the heat is a major infection/blood poisoning. Please go to the ER right away, he needs treatment ASAP.

I'm with the posters who encourage you to take hubby to the ER. This sounds potentially serious, and if there's a knee replacement in the picture, the nurse is likely to refer him for further treatment anyway. I would not wait if it were my hubby.
Highly recommend taking husband to emergency room tonight. Serious infection, can’t wait for a nurse sometime tomorrow. Dangerous to wait.
No, no, no! You must get him to the ER NOW! I had a similar thing ten years ago and almost died: septicemia (blood poisoning) and then pneumonia. I came very close to dying.
I had a red streak spreading up my leg. I passed out. The doc said, "Get him to the ER immediately!" I was in the hospital 13 days, and literally I almost died. This is very serious. People die, or lose limbs from this. I was very blessed that I came out OK, but it was a very close thing.

His knee is infected. The sooner you get him to hospital the better. He will need IV antibiotics and may need to have the hardware removed from his knee. How long ago did he have the knee replacement done?
This is a very serious complication of his surgery. Please don’t take it lightly.
I know someone who died from similar complications. He didn’t go to the hospital soon enough. PLEASE listen to all these people responding to this!
