Hopefully it is still in working condition. It isn’t unheard of for such weapons to be damaged with permanent marker writing all over them, paint, damage to the weapon that requires hundreds of dollars to deal with while police “test” and retain them.
My buddy’s Glock came back that way from his court case.
There are lots of good gunsmiths in Florida who might be willing to get it back in working order for a very small fee. I know of one (although I can’t vouch for the cost).
