There's something deeply disturbing about this refusal to acknowledge the basic right of an individual to self defense. The narrative focuses on the right to travel unimpeded, which everyone can identify with.
I would suspect that the percentage of Americans who have ever found themselves in a situation where they had a real fear of imminent death or great bodily harm is very low. Thankfully, Zimmerman's own words at trial successfully conveyed the experience of one who was.
If any profiled anyone, it was Martin profiling the “creepy ass cracker.”
The liberals are dismayed because they all but had the rope around his neck and he got away:
They pulled every trick out of their bag -- false accusations, pretentious outrage, overcharging, prefabricating, exaggerating minor details, depriving the accused of money with which to defend himself, ganging up, not allowing defenders to speak, going after his family, putting a bounty on their heads, portraying themselves as the victims as they legally gang up and beat the crap out of one lone man ......
and then to add insult to injury a multiracial jury of six women had the audacity to ignore them and vote for acquittal ....
and even when it's over and they had their kangaroo court with a kangaroo prosecution team and kangaroo judge they are even more incensed.....
Why am I not surprised.
When you embrace a certain lifestyle, you become a 2-bit punk in school.
When you become a 2-bit punk in school, you think it's funny to write "WTF" on someone's locker.
When you write "WTF" on someone's locker, you get reported.
When you get reported, you get YOUR locker searched.
When you get YOUR locker searched, they find stolen items and burglary tools.
When they find stolen items and burglary tools, you get a long suspension.
When you get a long suspension, your Mother sends you away for awhile to your father's little town.
When you are away in your father's little town, you get bored.
When you get bored, you take long walks through unfamiliar places.
When you take long walks through unfamiliar places, you get spotted and followed by Neighborhood watches.
When you get spotted and followed by Neighborhood watches, you get pissed.
When you get pissed, you start fighting.
When you start fighting, you start winning and feeling good.
When you start winning and feeling good, you keep pounding.
When you keep pounding, you get shot through the heart by a concealed carry.
Don't get shot through the heart by a concealed carry.
Don't be a 2-bit punk in school
Drivel.
This was a prewritten piece to continue to spread the party line propaganda.
Did I read 10,000 FBI hours devoted to this? You are correct that, in a sane world, it's a non starter. Note, I said "sane."
ALL THAT!!
I am sure you mean the WaPo article, which JH used as a springboard to his excellent commentary. Right?

Sadly, Zimmerman’s life is not worth a plug nickel. The feds or gangs will see to it he gets life in prison or murdered in a drive by. This guy will spend his days behind walls. Either government jail walls or his own home laws. He will not be able to hold a job, or go outside for fear of murder. The government and black Jessie groups will see to his death, one way or the other. Car wreck, slip and fall, drive by shooting, something. But he will die one way or the other. Maybe he kills himself. They will attempt to maybe drive him to do that because he sees absolutely no other way out. But he has few, if any, chances of surviving this. I am betting on the feds trying him under some vague law and getting the most liberal judge to handle the case.
Excellently written article! True and humorous!
My note to race baiters: I don’t care anymore. Talk to the hand. You’re on your own. I am not your problem; you are your problem. Get over your sweet selves and get a job like the rest of us slobs. Drop the ghetto, gang-banger, drug pusher culture and you’ll do much better. It’s no longer YTs fault. I’m done.
I so look forward to your essays, and was hoping you would write one on this subject.
As usual, you nailed it!
Thanks again for posting the truth in your inimitable style!
;-)
My tag line has been in code for a long time, it's not a real secret code though.
Haven't you heard ? The DOJ and the President('s staff) decide which laws to enforce, which ones not. Makes getting past little things like the Constitution really easy.
That's terrible. Imagine what kind of nation we would be if we treated our veterans that way?
I made a hot link to this one to paste into other threads. It is THAT good.
