If the shamnasty bill gets passed and the polygamy statutes can be toppled as infringement on the free exercise clause then the muzzies are set to invade the US like they have done the UK. They know they will never be the majority but their aim is by growing their population, immigration and conversion of blacks and latinos to become 5% or more of the population in 30/40 years.
To the state in the modern era, marriage is simply whatever the judges, pols, or voting majority thinks it is at any one time. And that’s it. To the extent ‘gay marriage,’ incest and polygamy or same sex child animal-hybrid clone marriage 100 years from now is or will be acceptable to these groups, it will be acceptable to the state.
Thus the danger of having the state involved. Not that there isn’t benefits of having the state involved, but only to the extent it exclusively recognizes actual marriage, something it hasn’t done to the standards of some faiths for a long time.

And the state will become their “mommy and daddy”. That’s why communism and feminism go together so well....with both dad and mom working, the state will then look after the nurturing, raising and ultimately brainwashing of the kids. To quote uber-lib Nancy Pelosi, “it’s for the children.”
One man and multiple wives actually has historical precedent unlike queer marriage. I don’t see how you can allow the latter and not the former.
