So where is Akon suggesting the blacks move to?
Nigeria? Zimbabwe? Egypt?
There is a segment of black society that considers Nat King Cole a sell-out to white audiences.
“We should all move back to Africa.”
Akon should start by leading the way.

There would be a beneficial effect on the cumulative IQs of both continents should this event occur.

I believe this was tried once almost 200 years ago. Liberia was founded on this principle. The trouble came when those that went found out what the weather and living conditions were in Liberia they could not wait to return and today there are almost no residual descendants of former American Blacks in country.

Burned out, I can see why and relate to that. I want to do more but am finding it harder every day. I’m also finding it harder to adapt to the attitudes and ways of doing business. I find I’m better off just doing the technical and hard work of organizing and planning nobody else wants to do.

It is called Liberia, west coast of Africa, between Sierra Leone & Cote de Ivoire.
It is an imperialistic colony started by American blacks between 1820 and its declaration of independence in 1847. These American blacks became the “royalty” that Akon wants to be. Though the descendents of these American blacks comprise less than 5% of Liberia’s population, all Liberian presidents up until 1980 were descendents of American blacks. After his coup in 1980 Samuel Doe became the first president of exclusively Liberian decent.
The situation of slavery was reversed for American blacks in Liberia and they became the “overseers”. Racism was replaced with tribalism.

The problem for all of us is not our situation, but how we respond to that situation.
If I am mean, nasty & cruel and living in poverty and then become wealthy, I will usually end up being a mean, nasty & cruel rich man.
Character counts.
Good character is displayed by all sorts of people in various places & situations all over the world.
Rich, poor, black, white, urban, rural, technologically sophisticated or walking behind an ox plow somewhere in Africa.
One of the best ways to work toward solving “the problems of the black community” would be to bring several African families of whom I am familiar FROM Africa TO America. Then any time the media needs a “black spokesman”, ignore Jackson, Sharpton and their like and interview these Africans, as well as Sowell, Williams, Elder, West and other men of GOOD character.
The worst example of racism in American is that of white liberals decreeing that Jackson and Sharpton are “black leaders” and “spokesmen for the black community”.
Liberia and Sierra Leone were set up by Americans and British, respectively, to return those of African origin who wanted to return (or migrate). There was a great deal of support from blacks.
Does this guy know that less than half of black Americans are defended from slaves ?
I wonder if he understands why blacks choose to come here.

As long as you can get paid for it. I find an active resentment of education, experience and hard work in most workplaces today. It rocks the boat. I am horrified at how many people just want to "mail it in", take a paycheck and never color outside the lines. It is the failure of large systems and huge corporations micro-managing aggregated "profit centers." Entreprenurial spirit is discouraged not just by government, but also by petty bureaucrats in ever-larger conglomerates.
It is criminal that our thriving small-business economy has been all but destroyed by Democrat adminstrations from FDR forward. The Great Society destroyed families and the responsibilities of fathers for their children -- but when they can't get jobs and government steps in, what? Globalization has been a job-killer and cottage-industry destroyer since the Clinton years; the and don't even get me started on immigration as a politico/economic strategy (modern-day slavery), oppressive regulation and the current mess over compulsory "healthcare". They have killed the Golden Goose.
Maybe you can catch a ride with Alec Baldwin when he moves to France!
