We followed a formal curriculum at home. There was nothing wrong with it, but my daughter just doesn't care about academics. It's not that she isn't bright. She just doesn't care about the location of Madagascar, trains passing each other at 70 mph at 5:00 p.m., and reading old stories.

I can see her point.

Kids first need to learn to be good, then formal religion, and finally, basic academic skills, like reading and simple arithmetic. The rest is up to them.

the social studies he did was stupid.
I love history, especially the war for southern independence but he had to learn about islam, Ghana and all of Africa.

I talked to his virtual teacher today and told her that my son was not going to do this test again as he took 2 hours to do it and because of a glitch in their computer they wanted him to do it again.]
