Just laying the groundwork for a civil suit. Insurer for Zimmerman’s homeowner association has already caved to the tune of $1 million and the Martin’s (or at least their attorneys) are looking for more. With help from Al Sharpton, the NAACP, and even President Obama, a big payout would appear to be in order.
The gravy train they anticipated went off the rails and into the abys with the not guilty verdict. They’re done in Florida. By law, civil is DOA with a not guilty verdict. Unless the DOJ can pull a rabbit out of the FBI’s ass, they’re running ou of steam fast.
The homeowners association should sue to get their money back.
Crumps team, along with the implied threats from the Feds DOJ probably managed to scare the HOA into a large settlement.(I have no specific knowledge of the details, just an outsiders observation)
They should have waited, but they drank the purple Koo-laid too fast.Must have watched too much MSNBC.....
I can't quote the exact Florida laws and statutes like a lawyer, since I am not one, but there is no basis for a civil case against Zimmerman now.
He has been judged not guilty of both 2nd Degree murder and manslaughter, the not guilty verdict derived from the adjudication of justifiable homicide.
There is no “groundwork” to be laid.
