“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon” wasn’t subtle enough for the Reprimander-in-Chief. Now that we’ve had the trial that all the Zimmerman-haters have been screaming about, and now that the verdict hasn’t gone their way, Obama is just laying it all out there.
A Hispanic guy shot a black kid who was beating his head into the sidewalk because the black kid assumed the Hispanic guy was gay. And guess whose fault it is?
“If a white male teen was involved in the same kind of scenario, both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different.”
That’s right. If a white kid swung first at a Hispanic guy, pinned him to the sidewalk, and pummelled his face like an MMA fighter, that white kid couldn’t possibly get shot. It just wouldn’t happen. Zimmerman would’ve thought: “Uh-oh, I’d better not shoot this guy who’s beating the hell out of me. He’s white!” That’s exactly how it would’ve gone.

Sort of. I think what really happened was that when the story first came out, enough key members of the media assumed Zimmerman was white (and likely Jewish) and spun a "white on black hate crime" story.
THEN they found out that Zimmerman is Hispanic (more Hispanic, at least, than Obama is black, if you believe his birth story) but were already invested in the whole racial angle, so to save some kind of face and narrative, they invented the term "white Hispanic" as if that's what they meant all along.
Al (Freddy’s Fashion Mart) Sharpton and Jesse (NYC = Hymietown) Jackson must have been sorely disappointed to discover that someone named Zimmerman wasn’t Jewish.
