The real title of the poll should be “How Well Has the Media Succeeded in Distorting the Facts of This Case?
What are you talking about?-
1. everyone knows that little kid-(you have seen the
pictures from ABC -correct?) was chased by Zimmerman
in his car.
2. the “White guy” then got out of the car after being told
“not to” - check ABC again- disobeyed direct POLICE orders
3. Zimmerman then attacked Trayvon- Because he was black-
and Zimmerman was a wannabe cop- with a license to kill
according to ABC.

Exactly. I hear the same thing, and their husbands tend to respond the same way. I have started asking them how many times they would like for their own son’s head to be smacked into the ground before he can shoot. They simply reply that Trayvon was a kid, and that Zimmerman picked a fight, and shouldn’t have gotten out of his car. I am amazed and very glad that the all-female jury acquitted.

Like Z would have let a White guy beat him unconscious, steal his gun and shoot him to death.

Either the propaganda is working, or this poll is garbage. Early polls definitely thought the verdict is correct. 10 days of brainwashing can have an effect, though.
Me too. All the polls I’ve seen strongly favor Zimmerman.
Every single poll I’ve seen is at least 90% in favor of GZ. The same percent goes for comments to articles.
They figure they have to rig some polls so they can say the people demanded Zimmerman be tried in federal court.
They should include 5 questions of fact, and then tell us what the opinion is of those who get the 5 questions right.
Otherwise, we are just polling ignorance.
On “justified”, the problem with that word is that it means different things to different people. Some people equate it to “it was OK to do it”. Others think “the right thing to do”, while others think it means “he deserved it”.
I would say yes, it was OK. I’d be split about “right thing to do — I’d agree his choice was a valid choice, but wish he had been able to stop the beating without killing Trayvon. I don’t think Trayvon deserved to be dead, even with the beating, because I don’t think death is the correct punishment. (Note this is not the same as saying Zimmerman was wrong to shoot him).
So I don’t think the “justified” question really tells us anything. Better to ask the questions specifically like I laid out the choices.
I think Hispanics would be happier with things if they knew Zimmerman was hispanic. Not that this would be a good thing, because the rightness doesn’t change simply because you share racial characteristics.
That is probably the biggest racial problem we have — the fact that minorities are much more likely to make decisions of support based on the race of those involved. Whites don’t tend to blindly support whites just because they are white.
Simply put, 46 percent of the people responding to the Wapo poll have no content to their character, no honesty, no integrity, and no desire to research the truth, which is why they are reading the Wapo.
ABC and Washington Post should get some decency and leave the subject alone!
Most people are sheep and want to depend on the shepherd for protection from the wolves (if they’ll even admit there are wolves out there). Some of them are even afraid of the shepherd’s sheepdogs, after all, they have big teeth just like the wolves. But the shepherd isn’t in it for his health; once a year, he shears the sheep, which the sheep survive. Occasionally, the shepherd decides he wants mutton for supper.
I am a free-lance sheepdog. I won’t hunt the wolves, I’ve already done that. I just want to lie in the sun with my mate and enjoy what’s left of my life. But a wolf who decides me or mine are prey is in for a rude shock.
What worries me is that some of the official sheepdogs are beginning to act like wolves, preying on the flock they’re supposed to protect, assuming that the rest of the sheep will say “The sheepdogs only take a few of us, and the sheep that get taken must have done something wrong to be attacked by the sheepdogs. After all, the sheepdogs are the Only Ones”(thank you David Codrea for that term).
