I watched a guy paint his car in the street in front of his house with a pea green flat latex paint years ago.

Wonder if we know the same guy (not sure about the latex part, though). As an added feature, mine gave it a vinyl top.....with undercoating.

I know a guy who founds some John Deere tractor paint so he brush painted his Nova with it. His girlfriend even painted some good looking John Deere emblems for it.

There was a guy in my old neighborhood who had a T-bird that he coated with burgundy astroturf. It actually lokked pretty cool.
