Had the following conversation with a liberal black in another forum.
Me: What would it take for you to forgive the “white” man for his participation in slavery? Is their a “price” that will satisfy you?
Him: You asked. This is my proposal: no black student should have to pay for education (kindergarten through doctorate), free medical and surgical care and medications, free legal representation for as long as slavery lasted. Seniors should receive double Social Security.
Me: Thanks.
Him: That would help but it would never bring back the millions who were enslaved, killed and taken from their families, etc.
Me: So the price could never be paid.
Was glad to finally have someone put it in writing and then admit it was still not enough.
