Barack Obama’s latest plan to reshape America will involve punishing white communities for their lack of inclusion.
Already the Obama Administration has doled out “damages” to 25,000 Americans in the last three years in housing reparation payments. It’s like Pigford on steroids.

Shaun Donovan, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, in a July 16 speech to the NAACP about a new regulation and database aimed at adding “protected classes” into predominantly white neighborhoods.
The federal government is getting serious about pushing racial and ethnic diversity into America’s neighborhoods–and is using big data and big money to achieve its aims.
A new interactive database will help regulators, local housing officials and individuals take action on a newly proposed regulation that would require agencies to “affirmatively further” the inclusion of minority residents in white neighborhoods.
Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced the database and regulation at last week’s NAACP convention, saying the Obama administration was battling “a quieter form of discrimination” that was “just as harmful” as long-outlawed segregationist practices, like racially restrictive property covenants.
The problem now, Donovan said, is that prospective minority buyers are not being encouraged to move into predominantly white neighborhoods with top-notch schools, government services and amenities like grocery stories, etc.
The goal here then is to continue to prosecute at a high rate incidences deemed proactively segregationist – Donovan touted 25,000 individuals in the past 3 years being paid damages under cases reported to the agency or independently investigated by HUD – but to add in a mandate for diversifying neighborhoods.
The old way was to punish exclusion. The new way is to punish lack of inclusion.
We manage rental units for friends of ours and when a vacancy occurs there are times when the majority of applicants for tenancy are Section 8 holders. The conversation goes like this:
"Do you accept Sec..."
"Sorry, no."
End of conversation.
I can envision a time in the not-too-distant future when the law will be changed to open the landlord to discrimination lawsuits for refusing to rent to Section 8 certificate holders.

You limit what landlords can charge and you subsidize people into them no matter the cost. We hear stories regularly about "council houses" in the UK worth >$1M used as "public housing".
Isn’t Harlem technically a part of Manhattan?
What is he going to do about so many communities that have Strict HOA policies?
No parking your car on the grass or leaving some broken down junk vehicle in front of your house.
Grass has to be mowed and no wash machines allowed on the front porch.

Detroit had 'top notch schools' great restaurants, beautiful neighborhoods with three-story Victorian homes... Black people wanted a piece of that pie - the most prosperous city in the United States... And they got it - the pie and MORE... all of the city. Plus control of city government and all the sweet power positions that go with it...
And those beautiful three-story Victorian homes? Well, not so much anymore....
But all kidding aside many of us would be afraid to live in a community with black people. What if we were walking our dog down the street and some black man was 50 feet ahead of us on the sidewalk? He could easily think we were 'stalking' him and come back and break our noses, throw us to the ground and beat our heads against the concrete. Then the President of the United States would identify with the person who tried to kill us because some white person walked behind him once on a street... and we all KNOW walking behind a black person is against the law...and, and, and....

The whole concept of asking for references will be criminalized. A friend has a rental property in Sussex County NJ (”the hills”); the Section 8 people trying to get in are all white. The references screen them.

In fact they just need a way to force taxpayers to fund urban blacks; here in NJ our welfare reservations had to lay off cops and teachers because there weren’t sufficient funds to pay them. As with Detroit, anyone worth his/her salt (including blacks) fled decades ago. Forcing municipalities to take in their share of “grasshoppers” to be clothed, fed, schooled, and policed by “ants” is the only solution the Dems see for rectifying this. FWIW, those laid-off “public servants” aren’t finding work elsewhere in NJ; they either leave or sit on the dole.
Just wait till they start diversifying prisons...

Good map; thanks. It highlights one of the problems forcing section 8 people on “white” neighborhoods will run into in the northeast: they already have plenty of Hispanics in them. In my town (regarded as “white” by black co-workers) there are a huge number of Hispanics (and it is growing daily).

utilities turned off for lack of payments and multiple tenants still coming and going
too many cars and men lots of men loitering 24/7 in the parking lot smoking and joking
this is happening in in a modest townhouse community near me
and the owners are helpless
get the idea of how america can turn into guatemala within a generation

if the rental property is in a targeted neighborhood then landlords will not be able to refuse section 8 and section 8 people will be given thousands of dollars a month to move on up to the good life
I want to see it happen in Georgetown Foxhall Chevy Chase and McLean as a model of the rest of the country
HUD, domestic violence, drug addiction/rehab and internet crime programs are big for federal funding to some sparsely populated counties on the CO Rockies now (even Republican majority counties). They’re gobbling the funding up and bringing the ghetto to the peaks in counties just a little away from the resorts (dude ranch type areas and the like). It’s nothing entirely new. It’s been going on for years.
Yes and the obama administration can lead by example by providing housing for the downtrodden right in their homes. Heck they should allow felons to “date” their underage daughters in order to demonstrate their compassion.
