Beethovens violin sonatas also span most of his life. One early sonata, nicknamed the Spring Sonata, is a beautiful piece, not that technically demanding, and thus it is a favorite among pianists and violinists who want to try out Beethoven but arent up to the demands of his middle period sonatas.
The first movement is in the usual sonata format, i.e. two subjects with development and recapitulation, and it shows Beethoven in a relaxed mood. This is the kind of music you can waller in.
