What the hell does that even mean ?
Jim, I think it would damn funny if you choked on your own tongue.
LOL!
Nice comment from someone who is not a US citizen.
I wish he’d not only go back to Canada, but in a way that he’s laying on his back. I used to think this guy was funny as all get out and now I just want him to get out!
This guy used to be funny.... 15 years ago
I think the $150 million+ ‘actor’ is taking a shot at Weinstein, Spielberg, Katzenberg, Geffen, et al.

Exactly my reaction. What the hell does green paint on the Lincoln Memorial have to do with “Corporate Tyranny”? I think that it is futile to look for any semblance of logic and reason in the collectivist/statist mentality. Jim, you don’t mind if I splash paint on your property, do you?
dumb and dumber
I hate to burst your bubbles but Jim raises a point worth discussing. While the vandalism is unacceptable, so is the protection of certain corporations and interest’s blatantly illegal behavior.
One only need research HB Gary and look into Barrett Brown’s work to see we are moving into a frightening age. When a private entity under contract by the Gov is allowed to flaunt the law, we have a serious problem. It was revealed that HB Gary was more than willing and able to use illegal methods in an attempt to silence Wiki-Leaks and its supporters. This wasn’t their fist rodeo either. Those methods include blackmail, press intimidation, and a host of illegal and dangerous hacking methods. All of this was revealed thanks to Anonymous. Say what you will about that group but the information they provided is extremely important and telling about our current state. After the revelation, HB Gary’s CEO resigned but nobody faced jail time or even an investigation.
Barrett Brown, a tech journalist facing 105 years for posting a link, warned us of the upcoming tech war / police state and the lengths our corrupt administration would go. He was the first to bring to light Journalist intimidation, free speech issues, and out of control surveillance state. The lengths the Gov went in its prosecution display how scared they are of this information coming to light. They launched a SWAT raid on his moms house looking for a computer then jailed her for not knowing where it was.
My next example is Verizon and AT&T who blatantly violated constitutional protections at the behest of the Federal Gov. When the warrant-less wiretapping was revealved and citizens wanted accountability, Congress granted the telecoms immunity. How’s that for accountability and rule of law?
We have entered a new phase of Law Enforcement and Government lawlessness. If the Gov or a private corporation wants to avoid accountability, they simply hire a Friend of the Gov contractor and have the Gov either grant them immunity or simply ignore it. It’s outsourcing at it’s worst and threatens to entire concept of rule of law.
Jim is only half right in his statement for it’s not Corp Tyranny on it’s own that is the problem. The problem is when Gov and Private Corp’s hop into bed and cover each other.
I agree, but I suspect the types like Jim, would applaud a bigger government to "keep corporations in line." Of course all that would do is lead to a co-mingling of government and business, and that's called "Fascism."
“Ppl are getting tired of corporate tyranny disguised as democracy.”
Said the rich guy.
That said there is an awful lot of undue influence from corporations. It has been said when politicians determine what is boutght and sold, the first thing bought and sold are politicians
— and this adequately describes a lot of our senseless laws like, for example, certain states requiring a license to be an interior decorator. (Or the "don't remove this tag, under penalty of law" for mattresses.)
This goes further than just senseless laws; consider copyrights and the Supreme Court. One reason that copyrights are so weird now is because every time Mickey Mouse is about to enter the public domain, Disney buys the court off to extend copyright lengths. The same corruption has been seen in patent law, particularly with GMOs and the mega-corporations, to the point where if another crop is pollinated by GMO-crops the company can successfully sue that other farmer (this is almost the equivalent to a dog-breeder letting his dogs out to impregnate the neighborhood's female dogs, without the consent of the owners, and then suing their owners because of the mating).
Obamacare too shows a lot of influence by insurance companies and lawyers.
So, in a sense there is corporate tyranny
.
Very nicely said.
“Go back to Canada, Jim.”
Can we get a petition going to send this A**hat back to Canada? Your career is dead Jim, dead!
“Actors, is there anything they don’t know?”
