Can someone please explain to me how “stand your ground” is a racial issue?

Sure, that’s easy. Because it’s part of the group of everything of which nothing is excluded.

Actually I think it is. Fox News stated that 33% of the time it was used successfully was by African Americans, and less than 10% was it used by Caucasians.

It was originally written in cursive.

The angelic black Trayvon Martin was shot by a "non-black" and the JJs of the world thought "stand your ground" would be used as a defense.

The defense did not use that argument, but since a black angel was killed it's still more fun and profitable to call the law racist than to be content with the verdict.

All you have to do is think like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton and it becomes crystal clear. /smile

For some reason, pro-thug liberals really hate the idea of people defending themselves.

When your constituency supports criminals in the mistaken idea that thugs and rapists are “civil rights icons”, then you oppose anything which might make life harder-or a moot point-for criminals. See the support or disregard, from black women yet (one black woman at her website calls them “Ikettes”, as in Ike Turner), of the Dunbar Village rapists. One of the sickest, most unevolved things I've ever seen.

Also, for this same constituency-if normal “law and order” YTs are for it, your default position is that you are against it. That's why they are the “reactionaries”.

I will try. Being black is not about color. It is about having the proper political opinions. For example, Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas, former Secretary of State and current Supreme Court Justice are not black, even though their skin color would make you think so.

Black has become synonymous with being Democrat, socialist, and crony capitalist progressive. All of the former want ordinary people disarmed, so that they are more dependent on the state and less likely to kill criminals, who make up a significant part of the culture that supports the Democrats.

So, Racist has come to mean anything that does not support the above agenda. Personally, I think the Democrats would be smart to embrace the Second Amendment, push things like the Armed Citizens project, and say that "power to the people grows out of the barrel of a gun." It would make them very hard to beat. But, they will not do it, because it shows that the Constitution means something, and that there is a limit to State power.

If you have a criminal conviction, you cannot get a Concealed Carry (or Concealed Weapon) Permit, or even own a handgun.

60+% of black males have a criminal conviction.

So, Concealed Carry Permits are racist, right? So are handgun control laws.

No.

Nobody can ever explain “that” to you, because it is patently not true.

Stand your ground laws were enacted to protect law abiding citizens who use lethal force to defend themselves and their property, from both criminals and our governments criminal justice system.
Far too many innocent people were being unjustly prosecuted for merely defending themselves from harm. By both criminal and civil courts.
A natural human right needed to be codified, and it was.
Obviously, it does not protect everyone as intended, if the POTUS, DOJ and a large group of the chattering class that pretend to be “impartial news media”, targets you personally.

I won't say ask George Zimmerman, because that poor man has been persecuted beyond anything I have ever seen to date in the USA. Leave him alone now.

Ask yourself and your family, friends and neighbors if any of you could possibly be next.
