Under Sequester, U.S. Giving Islamists $500 Million
Investors Business Daily ^ | July 29, 2013 | Editorial

Mideast: The sequester has "cost jobs," says President Obama, and "gutted investments in education and science and medical research." But somehow he's earmarked $500 million for Hamas terrorists.

Circumventing Congress and with no fanfare, President Obama last week issued an executive order enabling him to send an additional $500 million directly to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank — much of which you can bet will wind up going to the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorist organization.

According to Obama, "it is important to the national security interests of the United States to waive the provisions of" Congress' legislative restrictions "in order to provide funds . .. to the Palestinian Authority."

At the beginning of his first term, Obama promised close to $1 billion in aid to the Palestinian Authority, with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pledging none of it would reach Hamas.

But the Hebrew-language newspaper Yediot Acharonot has documented that tens of millions of dollars in aid for the PA — from Israel — ended up being used by Hamas for weapons.

Don’t we only need $1 million a year to keep the White House open for tours?

And if we had anyone in Congress with the balls to do it, this alone would be grounds for the immediate impeachment of this criminal bastard!

Well, Congress must think this is hunky dory since they aren’t doing squat to stop this crap.

We might as well not even have Congress at this point.

Why do we even have a Congress in this post-Constitutional era? Send them home if they are not going to perform their over sight Constitutionally mandated job. We could save a ton of money with Congress out of the picture.

Hey clueless GOP, this should be talking point number one out of your mouths. Figure out what 500 million buys Americans and recite it over and over again.

Isn’t that special? The CO of one of the Carriers based out of Norfolk...may have been the Truman but I don’t remember for certain...was on the news a couple of weeks ago talking about how he was only budgeted to allow ‘mimimal operational competency’ training for his air squadrons. Doesn’t that make you feel secure? But we can fund muzzie terror supporters. Beam me up Scotty!

Less than the cost of taking Air Force One on a 5 hour round trip.

Obama’s quacks like a Muzzie. By the way, has anyone noticed if he’s wearing jewelry this month, or if he’s been seen stuffing his face before sundown?

We’ve got to pay the $500M blackmail price tag for “protection from the terrorists” who are laughing all the way to the bank and buying more advanced weaponry to inflict even more damage and become an even greater threat so they can raise the price tag the following year. Such is the wisdom of BHO. What an idiot. Maybe not. It would be a great way to destroy the U.S. Rome II; only destruction by the Islamic clans this time around...

Our politicians want glorious buildings to hold up the delusion they're ‘special’ - superior... Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln might have deserved such grandness to work within - but not this current bunch of narcissistic shoe salesmen types.

None of the Washington elite want everyday citizens tramping though their exulted spaces.

The spaces we pay for...

DC elites pay themselves better than most Americans too - better than the people who produce rather than just push paper around spending other people's money. Most of the top ten wealthiest ZIP codes are clustered around Washington DC. On our dime - and they don't want us visiting?

A law to limit new government buildings in DC to the type the rest of America works in would be a start. DC denizens sure aren't royalty. Time to stop treating them as if they were.

As long as we have a congress that is blackmailable, the devil in the WH is going to have his way.
