In truth, the vast, unceasing influx of foreigners over recent years has done colossal damage to the USA. Our social cohesion has been undermined, our civic infrastructure overloaded, our sense of national identity eroded and our standard of living reduced.
Making us less of a nation than a disputed territory. I’m ready for a good dispute. I can’t stand these peoples ignorant ways and don’t want to be near them!
Tell that to the US Catholic Bishops...
The salient question is: Where do they get the money to live on? If it is not from the government or charity, then they must be working for it. If they are working for it, then it is hard to see how the economy could be affected.
One of the reasons that TV shows like Downton Abbey are so wildly popular: No third world immigrants! Escape the reality of your surroundings, if only for an hour.
Just as too many changes in the routine of a family (death of someone close, illness, loss of job, moving) can cause major stress, the same happens in society when to many changes happen in too short a time. People need to adjust to change and it takes times.
People tend to make more stupid decisions in these situations or they just get depressed, give up, and drop out. All of the things they have thrown at our society are designed to “overload the system” AND the people.
I think Alinsky, obama, and the “progressives” are very happy with that.
