SAN DIEGO – San Diego Unified School District board of trustees voted unanimously on Tuesday to move forward with a plan to allow classroom discussions about the controversial Trayvon Martin shooting case.
This comes about two weeks after George Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder of 17 year old Trayvon Martin in 2012.
After hearing student reactions from around the city, San Diego Unified School Board members Richard Barrera and Marne Foster came up with a plan. At the public meeting, they asked Superintendent Cindy Marten to create a platform which will allow middle and high school students to speak “honestly about how they identify with Trayvon Martin.”
There, students will also be able to express their fears, anger, and skepticism about how they will be treated in their futures.
Many attended the meeting to show their support of Barrera and Foster’s resolution.
“All of us are mixed [race],” said Lynwood Taylor Jr. ”There is no pure person in USA. There is no better race than the other. And we have to understand that.”
“The prejudices are based on ignorance,” said Hugh Muhammad of Nation of Islam Muhammad’s Mosque #8. ”So I think we will be able to deal with the ignorance that surrounds race to allow us to get to know each other better.”

so, we will be allowed to have liberal discussions in school about the case. Students can express how they identify with Trayvon. Will they be allowed to say how they identify with Zimmerman?

d. ask one question that infers you may think Trayvon did anything wrong
f. didn’t criticize Zimmerman loudly or often enough

What if students identify more with George Zimmerman?
I think we all know how one-sided these Trayvon discussions will be; complete with those going against the agenda being intimidated not to talk.

Oh puke. The first time some kid expresses support for Zimmerman - he’ll get suspended, counseled, flunked, and probably expelled with criminal charges brought against him for being a racist.
Exactly. When is Zimmerman’s attorney’s going to file some suits and get Trayvon’s background out there a little? This is becoming utterly ridiculous. A bad teen violently assaults a man and the man defends his life and next thing the dead thug wanna be is a hero? Amazing.

This is all chad directed from the office of the POS in DC designed to move the spot light off of his scandals, nothing more. Anyone who buys into this stuff is an aider and abettor of the Democrap party in general and his excellency in particular. Don’t be fooled, don’t waste your breathe on arguing about this stuff. Tell them we will discuss this as soon as his excellency tells us where he was and what he was doing at the time of the Benghazi attack.
