Good piece by Ann.
When I used to watch BOR I loved to see him use the word bloviating because it describes him perfectly.
He’s first rate at bloviating and blowing, he blows anyone off that makes a correct statement he doesn’t like.
O’Really
Joe Kennedy Sr. was a strong supporter of Senator Joseph McCarthy. The elder Kennedy raised money for McCarthy and also helped him gain support. Joe McCarthy dated Joe Kennedy's daughters and JFK and Bobby's sisters Pat and Eunice. Joe McCarthy was close friends with JFK and a frequent guest of the Kennedy family.
Joseph Sr. got a young and inexperienced Bobby a job on McCarthy's staff even though the Kennedy family were Democrats and McCarthy was a Republican. Roy Cohn hated Bobby Kennedy. Cohn called him “a little rich bitch”.
Bobby soon quit because of his anger towards Cohn but remained loyal to McCarthy.
Later when Bobby was working for the Democrat committee investigating McCarthy he almost beat up Roy Cohn after getting into a shouting match with him.
Johnson was detestable, but he was a shrewd politician. He knew Presidents get the credit for major legislative achievements that happen during their term. He knew he would be hailed as the champion of the CRA of ‘64 and Democrats would get the credit. Even though it was Republicans who did the heavy lifting and had been since their beginning.
The Leprechaun is trying to show how “fair and balanced” he is.
I still watch the show when Laura Ingraham is hosting. O’Reilly lost me years ago, he’s such a smug jerk.
“But in the rest of the South, schools remained segregated as long as Bobby Kennedy was attorney general and either JFK or LBJ was in the White House. (LBJ on the 1964 Civil Rights Act: “I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years.”) “
Only 151 years to go. Time is running out. This must explain replacing black votes with illegal immigrant votes.
You got that right.
I still shake my head when, exchanging ideas with a black activist professor, he allowed as to how Zimmerman started the "fracas" with Trav-on.
No you Harvard idiot, the guy who threw the first punch started the "fracas.' And he did not choose wisely.
According to a female activist professor, that was due to something about a "frontal lobe," suggesting that children should not run around loose without a keeper until they are actually adults...
I tend to agree with that.
Same for driving, alcohol, voting and firearms licenses...
and the pervert vote.
This is excellent.
Just Bill O’Reilly’s opinion. He was wrong, but O’Reilly and Coulter were both trying not to give LBJ credit.
O'Reilly has never gotten over his Irish Catholic Democrat upbringing in Levittown. He even said in Killing Kennedy that families like his all had a portrait of Kennedy in their homes and regarded him as a near-saint. He went on in the book to excuse all of the reckless, smartass Kennedy's terribly bad judgment in Bay of Pigs, extramarital affairs covered up by the press, pissing off scores of pressure groups who would want to have him killed, etc., and even as a ghost-written biographer who calls himself an historian, O'Reilly could never let go of worshipping Kennedy. A very disappointing book for me, after having very much enjoyed Killing Lincoln.
The point is that the left, intentionally, does not want this to end well.
Does it end worse for the 13% or for the other 87% if this conversation is not approached with civility? That is the conversation that we should be having.
I think it was because the Kennedy Klan are Irish.
You nailed it. His formative years, he's never grown out of them.
Bobby Kennedy, remind everyone that he proudly worked for Sen. Joe McCarthy...
Anybody remember who James Meredith worked for?
The really sad thing is that lots of conservatives think O’Reilly is very intelligent.
Anybody remember who James Meredith worked for?
Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC) for several years.
Nixon integrated more southern schools than JFK and Johnson combined - while RFK was Attorney General for both......
