He's not my hero.Just as schizophrenics (for example) are capable of doing harm to others,a sad excuse for a man like McCain can certainly do damage and has done so.I'd very much like to see him die (or at least have a huge stroke) so that he'll do no further damage to this country. But,unlike with Osama Obama...who I have no problem judging as a being a worthless piece of excrement...I'll let God decide if McCain is essentially evil and worthless or if he's a victim of the North Vietnamese.
Ive read plenty and hes never been sufficiently competent to be dog catcher.
I seem to recall having read that he wasn't the best flyer that the Navy has ever seen but,OTOH,I'm just barely qualified to drive a four door sedan so I'm in no position to judge him on *that* part of his life.
He crashed at least four planes during his service in the Navy, with only the last one being in a conflict situation. I don't have time to go into the details of each crash, but they are readily available online. Had it not been for the political pull of his father and grandfather he would not have been allowed near the controls of an airplane based on his history and credentials. As an earlier poster mentioned, he parlayed his prisoner status into a political career. (One wonders if a more competent pilot could have avoided his situation altogether.) His personal life has been just as much a study of incompetence as his military and political careers. It is truly saddening that incompetence at the levels displayed by McCain, Obama, Hillary and many others can lead to such positions of power and respect in this country.
