What the Hell kind of law is this where everyone who’s politically connected gets an exemption? It’s not a law at all, it’s just another invitation for corruption. I pity the folks who get stuck with Obamacare, and can’t get an exemption.

It's the Soviet Union. Loyal party members were often exempted or at least had a blind eye turned to enforcement of restrictions on THEIR lives.
The media has effectively wiped memories of the soviets from our minds. Otherwise we might recognize that we are rapidly becoming what they were.
