“They’re not going home,” Paul said, adding that even the most vocal opponents of so-called “amnesty” seem to recognize this fact.

This is a fact?

No. It is a CLAIM that has been repeated so often, by so many political cowards on both sides of the aisle, and by the left-wing media, that it is now treated as fact (by them).

Put a $50 bounty on ‘em and we’ll get rid of them AND lower the unemployment rate.

‘This is a fact?’

It is a fact to the privileged class that inhabits the DC cocktail party environs.

I don't think these people are lazy, or are afraid of doing the mental work of considering weighty issues such as this, they are just out of touch with the reality of life in America today.

If this bill passes, Aztlan will be a reality within 20 years.

We have been lied to for many years by politicians of both parties as well as the Chamber of Commerce. They have used smoke and mirrors to distort the facts in this issue. It may be possible that we cannot remove all of the illegals in this country but our purpose should be to remove as many as is possible. Our policy should be based on what is good for Americans, not illegal aliens. The compassion and consideration should go to US and OUR KIDS. For years we have been coerced into crying a river for every illegal in this country while turning a blind eye to many Americans who are genuinely being hurt by illegal immigration.

At the beginning of this discussion it should be made clear that we have to put Americans first then we can come up with real practical solutions. The basic idea should be to make it difficult for them to earn a living or get welfare, then many will self deport. People who came here illegally when they were children should be told that they have to go to a immigration lawyer and they have to pay for it with their own money.

Also, no more of this crying because we are “splitting up families”. What a crock! Every immigrant splits from his family to come to America, not just illegal immigrants. We have to get the message out that they are no better than the real immigrants and they will have to part with their family members. It is painful to part with your family and neighbors and leave for a totally new country but millions of people, including my family had to do this. Illegals from Mexico and Central America are more fortunate than immigrants from the eastern hemisphere since they can simply drive down to Mexico during vacation season.
