The parents of Trayvon Martin and their lawyer met with Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents at the U.S. attorney’s office in Miami Wednesday to discuss the status of a criminal civil-rights investigation into the fatal shooting of their teen-age son last year.
The federal investigation, which was opened while George Zimmerman faced prosecution for the death of the 17-year-old, gained renewed interest last month after Zimmerman was acquitted in state court of Martin’s killing in a Sanford gated community.
Prosecutors with the Justice Department’s criminal civil-rights section and FBI agents from Central Florida met with the late teen’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, and their attorney, Benjamin Crump, to bring the family up to speed, according to sources familiar with the meeting

Government and authority keeps meeting with the bad guy’s parents to figure out how to personally go after the victim/ survivor who has already been cleared.
This is some disturbing stuff and truly bizarre signaling, they are embraced and feted, and the victim is shunned and shamed and in fear of a government mob coming at him at any time after these meetings break up.
What possible input could the parents have in these meetings anyway, except to contribute emotion to overcome a law based discussion among professionals, which is exactly what led to the original show trial.
We are worse than a Banana Republic. Banana Republics do not have atomic weapons and NSA spying ability.
We are becoming a New and Improved Soviet Union.
In 20 years we will be worse than Soviet Union.
Hopefully, if there is any justice in this world, which I am beginning to doubt, those on this forum that were out for George's scalp, will find themselves in a situation similar to his and suffer the same fate him and his family has. Call it karma, what goes around comes around, sowing and reaping, poetic justice. Or what you please, just let it happen.
There will be no Federale action against Zimmerman. But now Travon’s parents can mention this high falutin meeting as they tour Black churches on their never ending fund raising tour for their Travon Foundation. That money will be diverted to the parents one way or another since these contributions are mostly cash anyways

The Martin’s should be held accountable for their minor son’s hate crime against George Zimmerman.
There was no evidence of second degree murder either, but that did not stop them. In fact, they had to fire and replace with yes toadies every honest police officer in Sanford and the honest prosecutor But that is where we are now, My FRiend. I would stay the hell away from the City of Sanford and Seminole County because you know that the Sanford Police Department and Seminole State Attorney’s Office are crooks.
And Obama, who is a White=Black would allow this to happen!
