Question: When we close down embassies, what happens to the secure files in those embassies? Are they moved to other, more secure locations?

The embassies are only closed to the public; the staff is still on duty. As far as security goes, it is upgraded. If there was a breach, sensitive papers are shredded and burned and hard drives are dropped into a chemical soup that destroys them. The people that do this know what they are doing, and while what I told you isn’t classified, don’t ask me how I know it.
