I have read that they dont want any deer moved from there because of a really bad disease call “chronic wasting disease” but looks like they could have done this differently. I am not sure why they would have went in there all swat like that.. strange.

This sounds like a dry run for some of Obama’s domestic security forces to take down any opposition. I wonder if they will cause a “This is for Giggles” response?

The point is not that the DNR euthanized the baby deer per se, the main point is that nine DNR agents and four deputy sheriffs, all heavily armed and unannounced conducted a no-knock raid on a privately owned no-kill animal shelter after hours of surveillance (aerial surveillance to boot), corralled all the shelter employees to a picnic area under gun point and conducted a search of the entire premises, I even read in one news report that a shelter employee who took pictures of the raid had his cell phone confiscated by one of the agents and he deleted all the pictures, all this over a baby deer that the shelter was about to transfer to a wild life refuge.
And when the reporter asked the DNR spokes critter Jennifer Niemeyer, Could you have made a phone call before showing up, I mean, that's a lot of resources, her response was If a sheriff's department is going in to do a search warrant on a drug bust, they don't call them and ask them to voluntarily surrender their marijuana or whatever drug that they have before they show up.
Thats right folks. You harbor a dangerous baby deer, you are no different and deserve to be treated no differently than a drug dealer.
BTW shelter employee Ray Schulze given the tee shirt hes wearing must be some sort of right wing radical Tea Party type.
Does anyone remember when LEOs were here to protect and serve Bueller... Bueller... Bueller...

Well, surely a stone cold killer. You can tell by the eyes and the camo outfit. Probably a TEA party type as well.

You are absolutely right. It's frightening, to say the least. The smallest suspected infraction seems to justify armed government agents to raid your property and threaten the people.

Frightening, isn't it? But, that is exactly a majority of voters said, via their votes, in 2008 and 2012.
Actually, Scott Walker was elected governor in 2010 (2012 was the recall election he won). Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth was elected in 2002, 2006, and 2010.

I don’t know what all the interest/outrage on this is. It was nothing more than a postpartum abortion to ensure the right of the mother not to have her life interfered with by an inconvenient fetus.

It looked like a pretty dangerous fawn to me. Heaven be thanked the state protected the populace from that fawn!
To: Innovative
The Wisconsin DNR had to kill the fawn “Giggles” because they could not allow the evil no-kill animal shelter to take care of it. It's more “humane” to kill the deer in a SWAT-type raid.
I'm surprised these jack booted thugs didn't kill the shelter staff and the rest of the animals. After all, it is about bureaucratic blood lust that must be satiated (and it was).
To: MasterGunner01
The shelter staff lucked out this time. Next time they may not be as lucky. Remember, all a member of the raiding party has to think is,"My life is in danger" then they can start shooting , and the, "I was in fear of my life" kicks in. The thought only has to run through their head. There doesn't have to be an actual event to set this off.
They start shooting, kill everything around and members of this forum [who have remained mysteriously quite for a while] wear out their keyboards praising them for their bravery and hoe much those who were killed, deserved it.

We need to personalize this issue. Who was in charge of this operation? What person authorized aerial and on the ground surveillance. What judge signed of on the warrant allowing surveillance or is that an outmoded concept. Who was the agent in charge of the raid? Who pulled the trigger on baby Bambi?

Two questions...how and WHY did they kill the deer? IN Arkansas, its illegal to keep wildlife. They are placed with licensed-by-the-state vets and animal welfare volunteers.
Unless the fawn was proven to have a dangerous disease...I don't see any justification for the culling. I'd like to know more to the hows and whys?

Yep, that fawn was outfitted in camo, and a collar showing affiliation to some organization or other AND designed to look innocent and helpless. Had to take it out. s/
To: Standing Wolf
Well, the fawn was wearing camouflage. Clearly it did not wish to be discovered by unsuspecting law enforcement officials. One day, it would have hooves and maybe even antlersboth dangerous weapons that would be unregistered with the authorities.
This illegal assault deer was a clear and present danger to the public.

How old is the young boy seized here and returned to Cuba now? Elias or something close to that ,,,
He is communist now. He was absolutely terrorized as this picture shows. Traumatic experience.
He had already survived fleeing Cuba in a makeshift raft or row boat. to arrive with relatives in Florida. Such things marked his thinking and fears, no doubt.
God bless America.

How and why are good questions but I’m still more interested in “who”. Why is it that everyone except the spokesperson is unnamed. Do we have a secret police force now?
