Congress is a district, and is therefore exempt from federal laws. I am not condoning this, but this has been the argument from early on.

This is why they can smoke in a federal building, but you or I cannot.

Thank you for that post. I totally agree.

I have a niece. She has two teens and a great hubby who works his ass off everyday. They know this is happening, but she says that if they stand up they could lose the life they now have in a home on a golf course on a lake in a very nice community.(she has yet to realize it will all be gone soon anyway) They know it, but they cannot believe it. And what if they are wrong? What can they do alone?

You see how it works. I understand to a degree. I am a little over 60. I always knew something like is happening now could happen. But you see, I never dreamed it would happen in my lifetime. I never gave it much thought. So, even I have a hard time believing that this cannot be changed by the next election. It can’t and won’t. That is the hard reality. This isn’t about party politics. This is about the US as a country. Our politicians pay no attention to the fact they have abandoned the Constitution. It is all about winning power, not the country. This is why they are useless and cannot be counted on for anything other than feathering their own nests.

The American people are a cash cow to be pillaged and enslaved. Just think of the thievery that has happened in the last 10 years.

The fact this horror is going on unchecked and without public outrage and a demand these people be prosecuted is absolutely breathtaking.

I can see how it happened, but geez, what can be done?

Well, there's letters; which I am thinking of redoing and this time packaging to the several States's legislature — my greatest concern, however, is that any letter will be intercepted and destroyed/curtailed by an information-gatekeeper. (i.e. like that low-level manager you can't get around to talk to the boss about something important.) Letters, having dubious effect and costing money, a very limited resource for me, ATM may not be the best way to go.

Then there's also forcing issues: I've been tempted, at times, to open carry into the local county courthouse. Tes, there's a sign there that says weapons are prohibited, but here's the thing: the State Constitution specifically prohibits counties or municipalities from regulating in any way the right to keep and bear arms — in addition to prohibiting any law from abridging the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense. —— That's of dubious impact precisely because governments at all levels are ignoring the Constitution[s].

Then there's the prep mentality: get arms, intel-networks, logistics, and so forth ready for a new civil war. (Or, perhaps, a time where people disappear to camps.)

I think there's a massive, massive psychological operation going on. All aimed at inserting one thought into the general population: you are weak and can do nothing.
The best way to counter this is to do something, you are not weak and useless, this is what your enemy wants you to believe.

I agree, but you see, there is a cost for freedom. I think we may have to give up something to save it. Just think, if the people stayed home from work for 1 week, the leeches may not get their booty. Of course, neither would we.

Question is, who is ready for it? If we hit the streets like folks do in other countries, it may make a difference, but I think people are afraid this corrupt regime would just mow them down. People are not hungry enough like they are in Egypt and that is where they get us. We are sitting back waiting...and waiting.

I've been staying home for about a year now. (And out of a job for months.) — at this point though, if it means crushing the hopes and dreams of the evil and unjust men, well, that sounds very attractive to me.

Question is, who is ready for it? If we hit the streets like folks do in other countries, it may make a difference, but I think people are afraid this corrupt regime would just mow them down. There's more than enough to smack FedGov down. Take, for instance the following:

  1. 18 USC § 241 - Conspiracy against rights
  2. 18 USC § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law
  3. 18 USC § 372 - Conspiracy to impede or injure officer
  4. 18 USC § 872 - Extortion by officers or employees of the United States
  5. 18 USC § 873 - Blackmail
  6. 18 USC § 875 - Interstate communications
  7. 18 USC § 1516 - Obstruction of Federal audit
  8. 18 USC § 1801 - Video voyeurism
  9. 18 USC Chapter 96 - RACKETEER INFLUENCED AND CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS
  10. 18 USC Chapter 109 - SEARCHES AND SEIZURES
  11. 18 USC § 2261A - Stalking
  12. 18 USC Chapter 119 - WIRE AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS INTERCEPTION AND INTERCEPTION OF ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
I'm fairly sure that all of them could be applied to the NSA, corporately and individually against agents/employees. (Esp. considering how they're refusing to make their operations known to Congress; and there is evidence that they are using [or providing] information to blackmail/extort congress.)

So, what would happen if we were mad enough to demand Grand Juries start investigating the NSA; they still have the power of Presentment and, if the judiciary/DA refuses to honor presentments apply #2 and #3 against him and proceed to take both cases up the chain. — of course, there is the slight problem that I don't know how to get a hold of a grand jury.

Which goes to my whole and original point of the fact that in the BEE newswrack the top headline was this 'Cadillac Tax' article aimed at the attention of the government workers/troops to get them to seek the next exception as the congressional staffers just got but this time for relief from the "tax" that was the basis for the erreoneous Roberts decision in June of 2012.

It seemed both ironic and a possible new trend for governmental unions to try, all triggered by the BEE, which also hides the online version with the devilish details in their .gov employees blog!

Then tonight Barbara Boxer is being covered by KOVR in Sacramento campaigning for ObamaMommaCare just like Obama will be doing in So. CA tonight and tomorrow! If it's already a law, why are they campaigning so hard for it while making illegal exceptions to it??? It's just so sureal and banana republican IMO!!!

Oh well...

Doesn’t the government handing out exemptions on a discretionary basis belie the idea that this is a tax? What happened to the equal protection clause?

I guess it’s gone out the window of our now banana republic due to affirmative action due to white liberal guilt due to political correctness by labor supported liberals run amok and now it’s “coming home to roost” on the backs of the private sector unions and even maybe to public sector unions who will scream till the executive branch finally lets the babies have their milk like was just given to the congressional staffers including those who composed the extreme provisions of the stupid ObamaCare law that’s being illegaly ignored by the executive branch!!!

“...a safe prediction might be that they would be a classic aristocracy in a few more generations.”

Yep; that’s the whole point.

We fought King George III for our liberty, and congress has been taking it away daily, bit by bit.

Since we think alike, I’m thinking the Declaration of Independence lays out for us the ultimate course. An intermediate step is taking over the republican party OR starting a new one OR taking over one of the 3rd ones.

My sense is the first option is the one held out as our only real alternative. My other sense is that a CAUCUS within that party that refuses to endorse would be another way.

I believe one or two or a handful of states will secede from the self-proclaimed "progressive" oligarchy, followed by more in short order.

I doubt it. History teaches us that history teaches us nothing.

Cordially,

The Republican party is simply Democrat lite.

My own opinion is that the White race is doomed.

We’ll all be speaking Chinese in a generation.
