Omaha, NE. The former two mayors have put the city into a losing situation with police and fire pensions. The newly elected mayor is doing her best to bring things back into order, but the fire/police unions are unwilling to budge on making their departments fiscally responsible and meeting budget requirements. It is only a matter of time before the city goes bankrupt.
Don’t forget about the 2 billion (with a b) sewer project that our masters at the EPA are forcing on the city. That is a big old bill that is not going away.
