In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory.
The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it.
HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan unveiled the federal rule at the NAACP convention in July.
"Unfortunately, in too many of our hardest hit communities, no matter how hard a child or her parents work, the life chances of that child, even her lifespan, is determined by the zip code she grows up in. This is simply wrong,” he said.
Data from this discrimination database would be used with zoning laws, housing finance policy, infrastructure planning and transportation to alleviate alleged discrimination and segregation....

It’s not the address that matters. It’s the culture. Put the inner-city “black” culture anywhere— and indeed regardless of actual color, any kids will suffer the same poor life choices. Better to attack and treat the cancer than merely spread it around.
Fix the culture and it won’t matter where they live.

Zip code? Detroit used to have exclusive zip codes - places where the kids did well, graduated from college and went on to successful jobs. Now those same ZIP codes are home to black residents of Detroit. And those kids today in those ZIP codes are NOT doing well. I suspect it's NOT the ZIP code that matters.
Does HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan think 'white' rubs off and whites should 'socialize black families by living near them? That's insulting to whites and blacks. Shaun needs to rethink this one.
No they ARE bringing the more dangerous to your ‘hood. The build brand new low income housing right next to where ever they please and this is not new.
And it is still going on. What was safe becomes unsafe, what was a nicely kept town is no more.
We already have discrmination laws based on race.
This will be about putting poor people in middle and upper class neighborhoods.

Any home over 2,999 square feet becomes a “multi-family” unit and a “suitably” diverse family will be shoe-horned in.
It’s not race, it’s behavior. Don’t tag your own building or pee in your own hallway. It may be hard and take time, but clean living and motivation pay off. It’s not cool to have various body mods/piercings/etc or a “grill” or any other “subculture” dafacements. Play it straight or you’ll never be able to get a decent job.

NYC has many multi-million dollar coops. If you want to live in one, you need to be approved by the coop board - which requires voluminous documentation on your past life, current and prospective income, and personal interviews with board members.
Let’s have them prove that they don’t discriminate against low-income minorities. (The Feds could designate some apartments to be set aside for such families, with maintenance charges to be paid by the gov’t.)
Should be especially interesting because many of those coop owners are limousine liberals who make big donations to Democrats. (This is where Obama goes when he wants to raise money.)

Just about all my neighbors are “dark” Hispanics, some who speak English, and some who don’t, but they are all good neighbors, the best. When some Mexican gang banger thugs moved in down the road, the Hispanic men here convinced them to move out at gun point. I’m sure any decent black family, oriental, Filipino, or Sikh family will be more than welcome, and we don’t need no stinkn’ authorities making arrangements for us.
