they are not exempt, they are subsidized by their employer --> US ,..the taxpayer !
It's too bad that Congress isn't all "part-timers" , like all of the 'new jobs' which Obama found.
The nation's Founding Fathers were "part timers ", and as a result ,
they were "STATESMEN " , rather than "POLITICIANS"
because they still had to EARN AN INCOME , and had to face the people on a daily baisis,
rather than hide in Washington, or Philly, or New York City.
Maybe we should make all Congress "part timers" and then they would represent the people , rather than vested special interest groups.
