FOX seems to have gone “perky blonde” especially in the mornings. The ones that are not blonde are still way too perky. I hate perky in the mornings.

I have never been a fan of Gretchen Carlson. I seriously doubt she can carry her own show. Her days might be limited. I would not miss her. Wasn’t thrilled to hear Elisabeth Hasselbeck was replacing Carlson.

In spite of the way Megyn Kelly acted like a High School Homecoming Queen the night of the election, she can do good interviews.

Greta has the most informative show as far as I am concerned. Be it politics, crime, terrorism, corruption etc she covers the issues well. With the exception of Greta’s show, “Fair and Balanced” means nothing more than “Talking Points Right & Talking Points Left.” FOX would be foolish to allow her to leave.
(I was relieved when she said she was not going anywhere.)

what is Bill O’Reilly then?

A self-important, belligerent A-hole.

Megyn IS lovely however, I was stunned when I saw her "up close & personal" outside the FOX booth during the GOP Convention.

She must have had on three inches of makeup on with very, very heavy black false eyelashes!

I know that lots of makeup is required to even show up on TV but only Megyn wore such heavy pancake-type makeup.

Not to say she wasn't still attractive but wondered why she needed such heavy makeup, plus it looked like it was difficult to open her eyes with those heavy lashes!

I will always be grateful to Hannity for one superb broadcasting moment. On Election Day, 2004, I left the office about 3 pm, to go vote, and then settle in for a night of watching the returns on TV. On the way to the polls, the "news" had just broken that exit polls were predicting a Kerry victory. I turned off the radio in disgust..and actually for the first time ever considered not even voting..( as I was in NY..it's not like Bush was gonna win the state) but as I'd never missed a vote, even when stationed overseas..I went to vote. I got home, decided to take the dog for a long walk, but took the Sony with me...turned on Hannity, and heard him explain how the exit polls were likely wrong to despair, and most importantly, to go vote if you hadn't already. It was just superb...

Greta has, this last year or so, become the best of the three FOX nighttime shows...she gets great interviews...especially GOP senators and reps, and actually lets them talk....and she's become more, well..conservative...she's evolving

Hannity may just want a life...he's been doing a 3 hour radio show, and then run over to FOX for the TV show...it's a very hectic schedule..

Fox News should have taken my advice a few years ago with their schedule:

Noon to 2 - Gretchen Carlson
2 to 4 - Sheppard Smith
4 to 5 - Neil Cavuto
5 to 6 - The Five
6 to 7 - Bret Baier
7 to 8 - Sean Hannity
8 to 9 - O’Reilly Factor
9 to 10 - Megyn Kelly
10 to 11 - On The Record with Greta
11 to 12 - Dennis Miller
12 to 1 - Red Eye
1 to 2 - O’Reilly Factor
2 to 3 - Megyn Kelly
3 to 5 - Fox Overnight Live - Global and National News
5 to 6 - Fox and Friends First
6 to 9 - Fox and Friends
9 to 11 - America News Live - Hemmer/McCallum

Throw the rest of the crew to weekends and build a weekend schedule that is more live than canned programming.

Terminate the contracts of Geraldo Rivera and Mike Huckabee and give 2 new shows to Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malkin.

My dream would be to give Mark Levin a show and have Michael Berry get a show (if you haven’t heard of him...hit youtube)...but I know they won’t touch controversial people any longer.

I would also say Palin should be given her own show on the weekends as well but her refusal to leave Alaska cuts that out...she really just needs to focus on the Senate run there. Herman Cain would be entertaining but I have a feeling I would lose interest really quick and Allen West would draw as many viewers as Oliver North gets.

If she takes Greta’s place, I probably won’t watch her. I have gotten to where I like ole Greta. She has been becoming more and more conservative. Megyn can be pretty squirrely ideologically IMHO.

I agree. I don't believe Greta is going anywhere... I think she just signed a new 5-year contract with Fox News.

Maybe it’ll be the Hannity/Kelly show at 9pm ET?

Hannity just re-signed a contract along with Greta. The rumor is The Fox Report is going bye bye and being replaced with Hannity then and Shep Smith just signed a huge contract extension as well...I believe his Studio B block is going to 2 hours.

Thanks for the incisive analysis.

Is there any chance that Hannity could go mainstream..have a show on the FOX network?

Didn't know about BOR's wife cheating..do you have a linkee?

Greta, Shep, and Hannity all have re-signed big contracts. This will just be extending other shows and moving others around.

Don’t think Hannity is moving. O’Reilly, Hannity will lead into Kelley. Instead of going to rerun of O’Reilly have Greta. Greta at 10 still kicks ass over every local news, network news and cable news.

I actually think that Gretchen will do fine solo..lately she’s been getting ticked off often at Brian’s antics..she’s smart, and a good interviewer.

Shep’s new contract actually has him being on-air a mandatory 2 hours a day. Look for Studio B to be expanded to 2 hours. Shep gets great ratings for Studio B. The Fox Report will disappear to the weekends.
