Well, thanks for staying in the Senate and mitigating the damage that Linda Grahamnesty has been doing. (Oh wait.)

What risk to the GOP?
Repeal seems to be one of the few bi-partisan issues.

Oh stop! DeMint does more good in the Heritage Foundation than the corrupt Senate.
This will show just who are the real conservatives and who is on the take. RINO Lindsay will lose in SC...you just watch.

The GOP has to make a stand here and now or they’re going down.

Well, thanks for staying in the Senate and mitigating the damage that Linda Grahamnesty has been doing. (Oh wait.) You don't think Tim Scott has ably done his part for the Conservative cause? And DeMint has done great work promoting conservatism at the Heritage Foundation.

Sometimes risks have to be taken to do the right thing. But today’s risk-averse GOP shies away from risk. Repubs prefer the safety of the “big tent” while praising itself for being “open minded.”

Almost everyone and their brother wants it to go the way of the Edsel. The only wants that want it are the kool aid drinkers at DU.

Well too bad Jim is not Speaker of the House. John Boehner has likely already cut a secret deal with the Senate to conference their bill at the last minute and jam amnesty through the House.
There is no way the GOP leadership in the HOuse is going to defund Obamacare. Even though they should.

STOP THE POLITICS AND DO THE RIGHT THING.
That is the best “politics” of all. It once made America great.

The two greatest existential dangers to the US are creeping communism, represented by ObamaCare, and wholesale dissolution of the nation, represented by amnesty. The GOPe, and even some of our conservative allies, are ok with these as long as their cushy sinecures and DC social calendars are not disrupted. They resent Tea Party types focussing on these issues and forcing the craven, feckless politicians that they are into making uncomfortable and, especially, public decisions. They’d rather go-along-to-get-along than face the agitprop manufactured ‘outrage’ of the left. It is time they feared the wrath of the American people more.

I hear what you're saying but DeMint's replacement, Sen. Tim Scott has been casting DeMint-like votes, or better, from a S.C. conservative's POV. And DeMint was speaking about the House.
