On Nov. 21, 1963, President Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, landed at the former Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth as part of a two-day Texas tour.
This has me puzzled. I don’t have the presidents itinerary at my disposal, but his last night alive was in Houston at the Rice Hotel.

I think you’re right, that it was his last night.
As I recall, he flew into Fort Worth on the morning of the 21st, where there was a large gathering for a breakfast. He then flew to Dallas Love Field (only about 50 miles from where he landed in FTW). His drive through Dallas was supposed to end at Market Hall, I think, for a luncheon.
I worked 2nd shift at an airline at Love Field, so saw the killing live on TV. Went to work about 2 hours later and no flights in or out. Men with machine guns were on top of the terminal. Our windows viewed the ramp and AF1 was parked only about 200 feet away.
Watched the coffin, Jackie, JFK, Judge Hughes, etc., all board the aircraft. Took many hours to get back into a regular work routine.
After a little bit of searching, found more info. He did make an appearance in Houston on the night of the 21st at the Rice Hotel. He stayed his last night though in Ft Worth. That was a hectic schedule
