If I understand, the movie message is that the OWS folks were given the entire world, and got their wish that the 1%ers all went away, which they did to some space station.

But then the OWS folks figure out that they are all idiots, and can’t run a city, much less a world, and they are all going to die because with nobody to actually work and run things everything is going to hell.

And also, while they “hate money”, it turns out money can buy cool things like a machine that cures cancer, and the OWS folks don’t know why they should not get the reward of success, even while decrying success.

So they decide to destroy the people with money, and thus the machines that cure cancer, and any hope of ever making anything better. Kind of like killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

Somehow, liberals think this is a great message — but liberals also thought the Batman movie was a great message, when it really just showed how unthinking liberals are only a “good leader” away from being Nazi death-camp workers.

I like your take on the movie. Not that I agree with that message. If civilization collapsed, there would be those who came forward and at least in small enclaves figured out how to make things better.

That's what's really disturbing about the character Matt Damon played. He never got beyond blowing things up to get that machine.

Wow! If you haven’t even seen the movie, you are an astute reader and observer.

That is very nearly a summary of the movie and its impression on me.
