But all of that was ontop of a civilized upbringing, kids today do not have that foundation
Ah I don’t know, Geron, I grew up with a violent alcoholic. I had a really rough go of it to start, and it did cause its problems for me.
I would say that there was what I would call a cultural difference though. Even though I did have some rough times, I was not besieged from all sides by poisonous music, my teachers weren’t trying to make me into a government drone or a homosexual.
Thing is though I have always loved the most violent movies, though I do not prefer sadistic movies that have been popping up in theaters fairly often in recent years. Love violent video games too, but I also love and probably even prefer non-violent video games.
You know what it boils down to for me? I believe that when I die I am going to have to account the details of my life to God, and that belief has kept me from going off the deep end more than a few times I think.
All I see today is people mocked for believing in God. I have also been mocked for believing in God by those who also believe in God because my beliefs are not exactly as they should be, so it can be tough.
But I believe Jesus is with me, and that He has saved my life here on earth, so I do not want to do anything against Him, and that is what keeps me good.
