The black father who called the police and got them arrested, Mr. Johnson, called them bullies and gang members. His son was next on the list to be killed. I wonder if this family is now safe since they informed.
Yes, agreed. The problem is that we have a society that does just the reverse: “rap moguls” (many of them white) make millions by promoting performers of a hate- and sleaze-filled message that just brings kids down, fills them with hatred along with a sense of entitlement that lets them do whatever they feel like doing, and ridicules anything that is not about money or sex.
And these are the people who are invited to party at the White House. Small wonder these kids are doing what they’re doing.

Yes, and politics is downstream from the culture. That is one of the many reasons why we are in so much trouble.

Los Angeles has been fairly successful in minimizing gang violence in the last decade, although not entirely eradicated. Since I live in Orange County and don't follow the Mayor/Chief of Police in Los Angeles daily doings, I can't tell you exactly why.
My best local media guess is because the LA citizens were tired of it and put the Mayor's office and CoP on notice. I do know that they increased their specialty gang units over the last decade or so and made major busts. There seems to be a NO tolerance for gangs in LA anymore. The police identify, categorize the leaders, infiltrate, gather evidence, and then raid them. It's been working.
So what is the problem with Detroit, Chicago, Philly, St. Louis, DC, et al? As much as I dislike Los Angeles, they have been on the cutting edge of busting gang members. Of course, the Mexican Mafia continues to grow, but LA is slowly working that problem area also, and making inroads to that horrific gang syndicate. The Crips and Bloods are not what they use to be. They are close to being defunct. Good.
Hate crime for sure, these 3 are so young. Hope they try them as adults.
I was raised in a predominantly white area. The few black families I went to school with we’re rock solid. Educated, hard working, 2 married parents, church attending families.
I am sure it was difficult for those kids to attend school where they were so outnumbered - but they didn’t show it.
They went on to college and are very successful.
So I was raised actually believing blacks are “just like us”
Later on a coworker told me I was racially naive because I had no understanding of inner city urban blacks.
I suppose this is true. Of course, I don’t have much of an understanding of inner city urban - anything.
It isn’t race - it’s culture. And they are trying to lump it all into one racial identity.

Of course it was a hate crime. We have a POTUS who engages in racial hyperbole, and theoretically condones the fact that trayvon was beating the hell out of a white man. To the moron thug mentality, this interprets to a green light for violence against whites.
Lupo's Mother ( of the 16 yr old) told the reporters at the court hearing that her son was a "good kid" that liked to play video games (Call of Duty) and play on his iPhone. The trash had no idea what her "good kid" was up to and most likely doesn't care.

Yes, so am I. I grew up in a corner of Gardena, CA that had whites below one street; blacks above the same street; asians, further down; and Hispanics across from them. Other than the punks that will always exist, we got along great even while living in our own enclaves, which is a natural human tendency.
I was the original cultural diverse kid in junior and high school. My four best friends were 2 whites, 1 Hispanic, and 1 half black. I'm not talking about associates, I'm talking BEST friends. We hung out together through our teen years in the '60's. We would surf, cruise the Blvd. and hang out at school during recess.
THE one thing we all had in common was that we were Americans above all. None of us cared about our race or cultural heritage - we were American kids. That culture of the time was the true "melting pot".
Now, every one needs to rely on their old heritage and make a big deal of it for their self-esteem, which is starting to piss me off. You want to be black, then move to Africa. You want to be Irish, than move to Ireland. You want to be Mexican, then move to Mexico. You want to be American, then go through our immigration process and join us in the best society this rock has ever seen.
American is no longer the great "melting pot", it is more like a TV dinner of old where every food group was in a different place. Now, people of different cultures/race/ethnic backgrounds need to identify with each other and the rest be damned. What a shame.

No, his family is not and will not be safe. Everybody who knows this man's son, either in the neighborhood or at school, will gunning for him since he is a "the snitch".
Compare this father, Mr. Johnson, with Lupo's "mother" or Edward's father. You will see a man who REALLY knew where his son was and who his son was hanging around with. I wish them the best but they need to flee for their safety.
I have gotten used to hearing of senseless killings in the news but this one really hurts my heart and stirs an hatred in me that I don’t feel too often.
The life of that young man is what any parent would love to watch, see him grow and see what he turns out to be in 10, 20 years.
I wish there was a large, secret vigilante force in this country who would wipe these feral monsters out. No trial. No prison time. No trace of them left. Just wipe them out.
However the colored person has. Long history of low impulse control...whereas Asians have highest control over their impulses...whites are in between he 2....
This explains why Asians are very studious and less of a problem as teenagers and young adults...low out of wedlock births, drugs/alcohol abuse among Asians, high test scores are generally Asian.
The we turn our heads to look at the low impulse control creatures among us, violent out bursts, calling 911 for wrong drive thru orders, bastards galore with that can’t wait until 15 years old to hump like Dogs in heat to continue the cycle of low IQ breeders then add the drug/alcohol/ghetto designer “drank” element to their “culture”....then the government redistributes the ghetto dwellers with section 8 housing to the burbs and smaller towns....ghetto dwellers that contribute nothing to society except being waited upon either by the police, prison guards and or the local welfare hand out center
It hurts me as well...This family has been robbed of watching a wonderful life fulfill all sorts of dreams and happiness. I just can’t grasp how these kinds of crimes are allowed to happen. I say allowed because 1/2 of society wants no standards, no punishment, no judgment, no morals, no spirituality ~ this is what you get.
