Millions of dogs needing homes, but we are the ONES so we cannot set an example for Americans to adopt needy animals, OH HELL NO! we are going to by an expensive breeder animal because we are one percenters!

His children have allergies. Adopting an unsuitable pet then having to return them, now with the tag of “owner surrender” hanging over their head, would be worse than just buying a dog of a known hypoallergenic breed to begin with.

If you’re not aware, “owner surrender” is a conveyor belt to euthanasia. Strays off the street tend to get 2-5 days in even the worst shelters as long as they aren’t visibly sick, but owner surrenders often get the needle before their former owner is even out of the parking lot.
