I’ve read the exact opposite.

The fact remains that Limbaugh has had the bully pulpit for over 20 years, millions of listeners, and gazillion advertisers. And yet, nothing substantive has come of that.

Here we are.

The fact that he was EVER a member of CFR makes him suspect for all time.

I have no idea about the CFR thing. I do know that Following the Pelosi ascension to power, he said on his show, live, he had and I quote, “Carried water” for the GOP.

I like much of what he says. But on that day I finally believed he was above all else, the entertainer he claims himself to be. And a Conservative whenever.

And where were we, exactly, in 1989?

After eight years of Reagan, we were back to the quintessential RINO in GHWB and subdued minorities led by the feckless Dole and Michel.

The truth is that Limbaugh has been instrumental in changing the Republican party's base -- giving us the courage of our conservative ways. We've owned the House for 15 of his last 20 years. Would there have been a Republican Revolution in 1994 without him? Would the Tea Party have enjoyed such great success in 2010 without him?

Unfortunately, though, he's had little impact on the Republican party's leadership. Fecklessness still rules the day.

Should we blame Limbaugh for that? Or the GOP-e?

Nothing substantive has come of it? Just the Republican revolution of 1994, when the Republicans took the house for the first time in 40+ years!

Just the exposure of the MSM for the “progressive” hacks that they are to almost 50% of the population.

What do you expect of one radio personality? What would you call substantive? Rush is not God.
