The most remarkable part of the whole thing is that you have a CCW permit in Kahlifohnia. Rural California counties are nothing like the Marxist tyranny urban and suburban counties. In counties like Calaveras, Amador and others, the Sheriff is objective and reasonable in the issuance of CCW to law abiding citizens.
The State doesn't like it, but the Sheriff and deputies are fine with it.

Away from the beach, California can be very conservative.
May issue: Permits are usually issued, or not, by local county.
