Grover Norquist is strongly opposed to letting conservative talk show hosts moderate the 2016 Republican presidential primary debates.
Norquist, a conservative leader who heads the anti-taxation Americans for Tax Reform, told The Hill Tuesday the Republican Party should instead incorporate Republican officeholders into its debate format.
Having conservative talk radio hosts Mark Levin or Rush Limbaugh host debates would be not useful, Norquist told The Hill. Talk radio hosts, he said, are primarily entertainers who would draw attention away from the candidates themselves.
He also said the radio hosts, despite their popularity, did not necessarily represent the Republican mainstream. He pointed toward immigration reform as an example, saying that while Levin opposes comprehensive immigration reform fiercely, polls show most Republicans are amenable to it.

Yup. Start off with a nugget of pure bulls***, end up with a pile of it.
Nordquisling can go pound sand. Along with Tokyo Rove.
I’m guessing you think Pawn Stars and Storage Wars are real, too?
Precisely. 'Pod.
Many people often confuse money and power. Money is the vinyl wrapped McMansion that after a few years has warped floors and a leaky roof. Power is the stone castle that has been around for centuries and will be there centuries later. One is fleeting, the other endures. He sort of had that pointed out to him right after he had dick cheney on his show and told him he was wrong on amnesty. He got a reminder right after the 2006 election when he went on the air complaining that he had been forced to carry water for people who didn't deserve it.
I'm just really suspicious of GOP types, who complain about Republicans or the GOP, who've never complained about Democrats or liberals, that I'm aware of.
Is it me or this guy about to go the way of Larry Klayman and the way of that Congressman that had like 5 wifes and became a nutter after he left....
LOL! You’re really full of sh**!
Is he nuts?
Don’t worry. Santa realy does exist. So does the easter bunny. The tee vee and radio never lie to you.
Is Norquist Nuts? Does he want Candy Crowley again or those like her? Limbaugh and Levin would ask hard questions that a real POTUS would need to know and can answer.
If that'w the case, who would you recommend that we listen to that isn't aa running dog of the GOP-e?
Yourself maybe? Someone not brought to you by conglomerates controlled by former politicians and/or political hacks? Someone you don't already agree with? The internet is very big.
59 percent of Maryland voted for the Dream act on the ballot.
But 79 percent of Montana voted to make people show documents to collect welfare. The Democrat governors always veto any attempt to do this. So the poll was just a ploy to get an opinion on amnesty imo.
Id say it is between 41% and 80% opposition to amnesty. If you took the 30 most conservative states and put amnesty on the ballot it would be at least 60% opposed.
59% is the high water mark for a wealthy liberal state to support the adorable dreamer caricature.
I always wonder if those scumbags are teenage trolls, rat operatives, or just the anal sphincters they sound like. But all we can do is post our own slap-backs and hope that uninformed readers who dont have the regular opportunity to listen to Rush and Mark at least get to see those guys defended against the lying pieces of sh** who actively try to diminish two of the most powerful weapons real conservatives have.
I don't think they've turned anyone on this board against Rush or Mark. But anyway, here's a remedy:
Make sure you get your christmas list to santa early this year. Don’t listen to those trolls who tell you he’s not real.
No, I don't listen to them. Santa visits me every Christmas, so I know he's real.
Well played....
