Was it a Federal job? If it was a Federal job you have to show the transcript (a certified copy). If you can’t get it, the Federal agency has to verify the graduation with the institution. That’s fact. HR will not (can not) hire someone without verifying who in the hell they are. You also have to have references, both personal and job references. All licenses have to be verified. But the primary thing you have to pass if an FBI background investigation. And it’s now instantaneous,where it used to take months to verify. If anything negative comes back you don’t get hired.
