I’m noticing there are several young athletes named Trayvon/Treyvon. Treyvon Green of Northwestern football, Trayvon Reed a top recruit of Maryland basketball, Treyvon Paulk a HS football player and at least one more of undermined spelling who’s last name and team I’ve forgotten, that played college football this weekend.
I never heard the name before Trayvon Martin. I guess his version of the name will increase in popularity amongst the next generation.
It appears to be a misspelling of the name “Trey” with the suffix “von” added. I have no clue how these modern Black names are conceived and popularized.
Well at least it’s better than the 50 Baracks that will burst onto the scene in the 2020s. Odds that someone named Barack/Baraq/Barak something wins a Heisman trophy at some point?
And good luck with your little plan there “Bob Law”, the American consumer of any color is not likely to go for some BS like that.
They will go with the combination of cheap/good/familiar that they always have.
