Most likely ... I'm guessing the authorities are probably eager to bury him, close the case and forget about him.
Either he couldnt live with himself and spend the rest of his life as an inmate. OR A couple cells may have forgotten to be locked, a couple cameras may have went offline, and a couple guards may have not noticed anything strange. Hush hush kinda thing.
Either way a dirt bag is gone and the State of Ohio just saved a ton of money.
