Very true. I lived there most of my life. It became obvious that the demographics shifted such that my vote no longer counts. The laws became too oppressive. The cost of living skyrocketed. It's too damn crowded too. I moved to Idaho in Dec 2000. Although I've had to work in San Diego for the last 4 years, I have the comfort of being able to escape to my home in Idaho in 15 hours.
