Heavenly Father,
We are blessed to have a Father as loving and as merciful as You. We humbly ask for Your continued blessings as we remember and honor our American heroes past and present. This week especially, we come together as a nation to pray that nothing like the atrocity that we suffered 12 years ago will ever happen to our nation again.
We also ask You to give us the strength and guidance we need to band together and stand down the evil that continues to nip at our heels every day. Each day presents a test of our collective faith and patience—with Your help, we will overcome the evil one and his minions, becoming stronger and more worthy of Your love and compassion.
We ask these favors in Jesus’ Holy Name.
