How can any Democrat run as pro-abortion and anti-gun and expect to win state-wide office in the South? Some gerrymandered congressional district in Atlanta, Houston or Memphis? Sure. But state-wide office?
A Democrat won the Texas governorship in 1990 (Ann “Ma” Richards) only because her opponent made an incredibly stupid statement about rape. She was later defeated by the `hated’ George W. Bush.
Running against gun ownership in Texas just doesn’t cut it.
