My car is a late model German car that has "active" cruise control. It's kinda cool in a way but very,*very* imperfect.I've tried to allow it to control the car in "stop & go" driving and it *did* work....as traffic started up the car would accelerate and when traffic was slowing down my car would brake. No collisions. However, the process was very,*very* herky jerkey...very uncomfortable.

I'm particularly unimpressed with this feature which,I assume, uses the same type of sensors and computers that this self driving car would.

We have that on our Jag. Tried it once, never again. Our new Mercedes has some kind of anti collision, lane swipe thing, heck not even sure. Hubby turned it off immediately.
