Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.

One of the shooters is “down,” police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.

One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

If I was Commander-in-Chief, an order would go out immediately that all military personnel and border agents are henceforth to be armed at all times with at least a sidearm. Loaded, of course. Nothing is more useless than an unloaded weapon.

I was hoping for 8th & I to come marching down the street at double-time, like The Wind and the Lion.

Continuing from my previous post...

Born in Brooklyn, worked in Seattle and Ft Worth, traveled to Thailand, family hasn’t heard from him in a long time, aunt thinks he was in the military “abroad”, arrested twice yet works in sensitive positions with the Navy, no friends coming forth to talk about him, no social media pages, no apparent motive, kills 13 people and injures many more in a matter of minutes, and is shot dead.

A little strange, don’t you think?

After Fort Hood, there was a central directive from the highest levels to make all military installations gun free zones (except for Military police and security guards, just like in DC).

I can attest to that.

Friend at Camp Pendelton is telling me of Marines being prohibited from even owning private firearms. Apparently the local commander drank Odinga's Kool-aid by the gallon.

I’d guess the local LEO’s are milking it, going through the motions...Of course with all the security in D.C., they’d look mighty bad if they didn’t look and it turned out there was.

I’m pretty confident based on the late reports regarding who the shooter is and the shooters former job, there was only one bad bad guy...

In addition, with 10,000 cops looking and all the witness, it’s really hard to believe there was more than one bad guy here.

“...relax, let the facts come forth, then decide what you believe to be true or most plausible.”

That’s all any rational person can do, at this point.

If they were to be armed, the idiots in DC would have arrested them for gun laws.

“Nothing is more useless than an unloaded weapon.”

Except maybe a car with an empty gas tank. Or a lib-dem idiot who tries to make sense.

The problem with the shooter is, there’s almost no record of him and his background anywhere on the internet. I’m a nobody and there’s a bunch of stuff on me on the Web.

The only records are things that have been said by the authorities TODAY in news stories. No other independent background. The Linkedin page could have been a good starting point, but it’s gone.

Practically the only real link is a mugshot of him from a few years ago.

Marine Corps Base Quantico
Due to the ongoing incident at the US Navy Yard in Washington, DC, Marine Corps Base Quantico has implemented heightened security measures as a precaution which may slow traffic accessing the MCBQ. All personnel should be reminded to immediately report any suspicious activity to (703) 432-EYES (3937) or www.usmceagleyes.org.

How NON LIBERAL.

Why would you want to arm people WHO ARE TRAINED in the use of firearms when you have so many types like ‘regular’ IRS, DEA, HHS, MOMA, Smithsonian Museum etc etc types who ARE armed? s/s

Some people work really hard to avoid being "high profile"...Some are very good at it...

Maybe ya just got the wrong database Deo...

I was thinking the same thing earlier today.....every member of the military should have a sidearm on their person.

District of Columbia....Gun Free zone. Would have been nice if the civilian employees could have had the opportunity to conceal carry.

“Ongoing incident” could mean a shooter on the loose.

Or maybe not. It’s frustrating that we’re hearing so little about this event.
